WEINLICH STEUERUNGEN

Options for the MP Computer for Engine Test Beds (Engine Dynamometers)

1.

Programmable limitation of the torque to be produced by the brake

2.

Control of the engine to be tested

2.1.1

by an analog electric output

2.1.2

by an actuator for mechanical connection to e. g. a throttle or an injection pump of a combustion engine

2.2

alternatively to 1.:
Programmable limitation of the torque to be produced by the motor for torque control by motor control

3.

Automatic gravimetric determination of the specific fuel consumption:

Serial data input V.24 at the MP Computer for a balance with systems software for evaluation of the data received from the balance and for display of the specific fuel consumption either selectable instead of the work or in a separate display

4.

Automatic documentation of measured values:

4.1

Display, memorization and printing of measured values by PC:

Serial data output with systems program for the continuous transmission of measured values to an IBM compatible PC in order to display, memorize and print the functions of

torque and power versus speed or of

speed, torque, power, counted work, weight of fuel, if provided, and further measured values, if provided, versus time

by the PC application software Diagram for Windows

4.2

Directly printing of test reports by the MP Computer:

Serial data output with systems program for printing of a

blank protocol head

or of a line with the measuring time referred to the first line and with the momentary values of speed, torque, power, and further measured values, if provided, to be released by a key or automatically in selectable time distances,

and in case of existing determination of specific fuel consumption also for printing this when stopping the work counter together with the corresponding average values of power and speed,

either only alternatively to continuous data transmission, if provided,

or simultaneously possible to continuous data transmission, if provided, e. g. to a PC

4.3

Analog outputs for speed, torque and power
e. g. for presentation of torque and power versus speed on an X-Y1/Y2 plotter
or for input into a data acquisition system with analog inputs

4.3.1

by multiple connectors

4.3.2

by sockets for safety one-pole plugs at the side of the corresponding displays

5.

External control

5.1

Analog input for a speed set value (speed limitation)
additionally to the input of the desired speed by the hand-operated potentiometer
(the lower set value is effective)

5.2

Analog input for the limitation of torque
either of the brake or of the motor,
additionally to the numerical input of the torque limit by input keys
(the lower limit is effective)

Special Equipment

Installation in client-specific switch gears

Digital inputs and outputs with functions to be specified

Insulated inputs and outputs

Further measurements at combustion engines and electric motors to be tested

Supply and control of electric motors to be tested
